Choosing a password
|
|
|
When you register with
the Resource Broker
you are asked to provide your email address and a password to sign-in to your
account. Please choose a password that is known only to you and that cannot be
easily guessed by another party. We would advise against using the same
password for multiple online accounts. For example, if you use one password to
access your email account, make sure to use a different password to access your
the Resource Broker
account.

To help ensure your password is secure we advise you to change your password
for all your online accounts approximately every two months. To change your

Requests for sensitive information
|
|
|
Some prominent web sites have reported that attempts have been made to gain
access to sensitive personal information held by their Members through email
requests that are made to appear as if they have come from an official source.
This fraudulent activity is known as ‘phishing’.
The Resource Broker
will never ask you to provide sensitive personal information, such as sign-in
passwords or credit card details by email. If we request information from you,
we will always direct you back to
the Resource Broker
site.

Virus Protection
|
|
|
Computer viruses can be used to record your keystrokes enabling hackers to gain
access to sensitive information.
The Resource Broker

up-to-date for whenever you use the internet. Most virus protection packages
can be set to update automatically.

Firewall
|
|
|
To prevent third parties from accessing sensitive information when you are
connected to the internet
