Which browsers can I use when accessing the Resource Broker?
|
|

Please use Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above
when using the Resource Broker.

Do I need to change any settings on my browser?
|
|
|
|
|
If you encounter any technical problems whilst viewing the Resource Broker with
Internet Explorer please check the following settings:
Security settings

Start Internet Explorer and select ‘Internet Options’ from the ‘Tools’
menu.

Select the ‘Security’ tab and click on ‘Custom Level’.

Choose ‘Medium’ from the drop-down menu and click ‘Reset’.

Confirm these changes by clicking ‘Reset’, then 'Yes' to confirm
the changes and finally clicking 'OK'.
ActivX and active scripting settings

Start Internet Explorer and select ‘Internet Options’ from the ‘Tools’
menu.

Select the ‘Security’ tab and click on ‘Custom Level’.

Scroll down to the sub-heading ‘Script ActiveX controls marked safe for
scripting’ in the settings box and select ‘Enable’.

Scroll down to the sub-heading ‘Active scripting’ in the settings box
and select ‘Enable’.

Confirm these changes by clicking ‘Reset’, then 'Yes' to confirm
the changes and finally clicking 'OK'.

What is active scripting?
|

Active Scripting is a Microsoft technology that enables the Resource Broker to
perform tasks within your browser rather at the computers where are website is
located. This increases the speed at which we can deliver our service without
compromising your security.

What is ActiveX?
|
|
|
|
|
ActiveX is set of Microsoft technologies developed for sharing information
amongst different applications. ActiveX controls are installed on your computer
with Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Resource Broker uses ActivX controls with
our innovative Member Profile and Opportunity Profile technology. This gives us
the flexibility to add unlimited additional location, skill, service and
business sector profiles to accurately reflect changes in the business
environment.
